Music
At St Barnabas and St Philip’s School the Music Curriculum is covered in school through the tri borough music hub. Music is taught once a week. Children experience listening, singing, playing musical instruments and composing (sometimes using technology). We have a wide selection of instruments to support the music curriculum including xylophones, glockenspiels, drums, claves, maracas, bells and a variety of instruments from other cultures. We sing in Collective Worship and learn new songs for our Church services which take place across the school year. Our school choir performs at key Church services. The choir also supports in the local community singing at a residential care home. Some children also take additional instrumental tuition on piano, drums and violin. Children showcase their music to parents through our music concerts which take place every term.
